Sharing a creative endeavor with another artist is pretty special. So when Anna VonRosensteil of Carter + Rose posted in January that she was looking for other local creatives to collaborate with this year I instantly responded "I'm in!" My caveat was that the collaboration had to be easy as my bandwidth is minimal. She agreed and we put a date on the calendar for 6 months out.
Anna is one of those magnetic people... creative, welcoming, fun, and savvy. When she showed up at my studio mid-September, all of those qualities were reinforced in my brain. She had a small container of the most gorgeous handmade ceramic beads in hues of teal, light turquoise, speckled blue and shades of sand.
Upon seeing her offerings, I started pulling out chain, leather, and brass beads and within a few hours we were finishing up necklaces that came together so organically it was as if we'd worked together for years. I'm grateful for both Anna's creativity, her friendship, and the opportunity to create something beautiful with another talented Portland artist. I hope you love what emerged from the collaboration as much as we do. Thanks Anna!
